Imke's real estate experience began with managing her parents' investment properties in her teen years, and she became an early and avid investor herself. Her notable educational background includes a bachelor's degree in marketing, a journalism degree and a master's degree in cultural sciences. Schooling and a career in journalism took Imke to Milan, Paris, Moscow, Berlin and New York City, to name a few. Her immersive exposure to cultures around the world has made her adept at understanding social nuance and connecting with people from all walks of life. 

She covered New York's vibrant art scene for a well-known German newspaper, an experience she credits with honing her exemplary research and fact-checking skills. As a skilled interviewer, Imke sizes up people and situations quickly, a valuable talent in both negotiating and helping buyers navigate their home search. Her art world experience also brought her real estate exposure full circle, as she was exposed to the home divisions of influential auction houses Christie's and Sotheby's. Imke resides in Westport with her husband and two sons. She is Westport town's appointed

representative for the Westport Public Art collection, district Saugatuck, and holds the PTA chair for the "Zero Waste" committee at Saugatuck Elementary School. In her free time, Imke enjoys being with family, hiking, sailing, skiing, visiting art exhibitions and exploring New England.
